My father saw Bob Hope, Francis Langford, Jerry Collona at a USO show on Biak Island in August 1944 for the 90th Bomb Group. He talked about this show many, many years later. When I was in the US Navy in 1971, he did a USO show aboard the USS Enterprise. I didn't get to see it as I was on a DE escorting the Enterprise in the Gulf of Tonkin. Still going after all those years.

Firstly, I think it's really, really odd that a expose of this illusion was filmed. Who was the intended audience? Was this meant to be a training film for magicians who were buying the illusion? I am a magician and Film student. I would say this is ca 1925. Judging from the art in the titles used to narrate, and the fact that they were still using them. Motion picture sound was available in 1929. I don't know why they wouldn't record sound if it were later than 29.

Truth be told, the Texas barbaric penal system of the early 20th. century, has an awful lot of blame for its medieval treatment of prisoners. That turns a turkey thief and not returning a rented car on time, into a murdering criminal. Plus dirt poor depression hurting the down and out.

anyone know who took the camera footage of the man who is seen to the right of the car at the 2:13 mark or the time stamp on the film is 01:22:45, that film would show the shooting in real time and why is it never seen, where is that footage ,theres cameras everywhere, but only this footage is ever shown? 👌✌👍🦘
